It’s summer time ladies and that means you’re in need of a super inspiring summer reading list. I have scoured the internet to find the best of the best books for the fempreneur, mompreneur, girlboss, bossbabe, or whatever else you’d like to call yourself. I have read a few on the list and plan to work my way through the rest by the end of the summer. There’s nothing quite like the sense of peace and satisfaction I get from grabbing a book (or my phone), heading to the beach, and learning about the lives of successful women.
Congratulations on your new baby! Bringing home the newest addition to your family can stir up so many feelings (thank you hormones) from joy and excitement to fatigue and stress. All of which are totally okay, by the way.
Maybe this isn’t your first baby and you’re already a pro swaddler, but if you’ve recently started a blog or work from home business, then you’re probably asking a lot more questions this time around than the standard “should my baby be spitting up this much?”
My point is parenting is hard and so is running a blog or freelance business. Put the two together and you’re bound to face some obstacles and serious stress. Whether this is your first baby or tenth and whether you’ve been blogging for a year or want to start, these tips are for you.

Five weeks ago we brought home baby Emma and life has been a blur since. Tough but definitely not impossible thanks to some key tools and tricks I use to maximize my time at home.
Do you ever watch those movies and get on this super inspired high for like a week… or a day? You know the movies I’m talking about. The ones where the nobody, the broke, the misfit, goes on this incredible journey to become a somebody, a business owner, a boss? Even though the inspiration that comes from these cinematic adventures might be short-lived, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE MOVIES. I think it should be it’s very own genre because “Drama” just seems to broad for such a special group of films.

I’ve taken it upon myself to jot down these super motivating movies down as I watch them or remember them. Why? Because when I’m in need of a break and a serious pick-me-up, I’ll put one of these gems on, grab some wine, and cuddle up on the couch ready to become the same kind of amazing that are featured on screen. There are still so many I’ve yet to watch but trust me, they will be added as I come across them. Be sure to leave your suggestions in the comments below!
CONGRATULATIONS!! You’ve started your freelance business and have already landed a client or two. This is such great news and I hope you’re as excited about it as I am excited for you.
I have been freelance writing since January of 2016 and my business has definitely grown and changed into something that can actually help support my family. It has evolved into not only a freelance writing business but also a social media management and virtual assistant business. I’ve gone from working with only 2 clients at a time to a dozen, and back down to one.
Since January of this year, I’ve pretty much only been working with one client because the pay was enough to significantly contribute to our household income. Though that hasn’t changed yet, I’m starting to feel it’s time to take on more clients and expand my business.
