“I wanted to be an independent woman, a woman who could pay for her bills, a woman who could run her own life – and I became that woman.” -Diane Von Furstenberg
There is something incredibly inspiring reading about the long hours, late nights, and passion an entrepreneur put in to become who they are today. There is something about pushing their limits both physically and mentally all for the sake of an idea – a chance- that is empowering.
Success stories have always been a favorite of mine. The beginnings of great entrepreneurs fuel me day in and day out. It’s their courage and grit that enable me to stay up well past my bedtime, wake up early, and get the work done even if I’m sick or battling my toddler for the computer. I guess the reason these stories really stick with me is because I can only imagine what they felt when they finally made it and what they feel now looking back on all the long hours and tiny victories. I dream of feeling that same feeling.
That brings me to How She Happened. I obviously have not happened yet but I want to and I want to document my story. You always hear of people becoming these overnight successes but in all reality, there is no such thing. I want to inspire others with my success story but why not start writing it now? Why not invite you to come along on the journey with me?
For me, that journey begins with my financial situation. My passion for money management began when my dad gave me Dave Ramsey’s book on financial peace back in high school and grew as I became a young mom and wife. Debt and living paycheck to paycheck gets tiring. I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of chasing my tail.
So, join me and we will get out of debt and reach financial stability together.
